Phoenix heat in March one for the ages

“At least it’s a dry heat.”

And for March 2026 in Phoenix, it’s been a record heat as well.

According to multiple sources, Phoenix has endured the hottest March in its recorded history, as an extraordinary heatwave pushed temperatures to levels never before seen so early in the year. By mid-March, the city was breaking long-standing records, with temperatures peaking far above the previous March high set in 1988.
