The Recreation Centers of Sun City West Governing Board directors continue looking at the pool deck at R.H. Johnson Pool and the failures with warranty repairs.
According to Christine Novello, governing board president, the board set this fiscal year goals last September and put the pool deck at the top of the list. The board reached consensus during a recent workshop to recommend moving forward with an option called AquaFlex.
Capital Improvement Projects Manager Herschel Workman presented several options including EPDM, EPDM with coating, acrylic deck, Aquaflex and Life Floor. All of these options coat the existing concrete deck.
