After a summer of jamming, the Sun City Ukulele Club’s Summer Strummers concluded its season and is looking forward to the return of all 120-plus club members.
The club's focus is now on scheduling orientation sessions for new members, scheduling free ukulele lessons for all new and old members, bringing in outside ukulele masters to perform for the community, learn new music and prepare for performances.
Most of the club members learned to play the ukulele through the club's free mentorship program, according to member Jim Walker. He added they joined only because of their love of music.
