The Sun City Mid-Week Bell Lions Club is hosting their second blood drive this year from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 23. The blood mobile will be parked at the Sun Cities Lions Foundation, 9451 N. 99th Ave., Peoria. Appointments can be made at Vitalant.org (Blood Drive Code: 10053702) or by calling 1-877-25-VITAL (258-4825).
One in 83 mothers needs a blood transfusion after giving birth. Show support by donating April 21 – May 23 to have a chance to win one of 83 gift cards worth $83 each.
Vitalant serves 100 percent of the hospitals in Maricopa County and 90 percent statewide. Vitalant donors in Arizona provide more than 200,000 donations each year, which are tested and processed here to support patients.
