Champion of Champions named for Sun City tournament

The Sun City Women’s Golf Association Champion of Champions tournament was April 4, 6 and 8 at the Riverview, Lakes West and North courses.

The top four qualifiers from each of the 5-18 hole ladies leagues played to determine the overall champion.

Going into the final round at North, on April 8, there was a two-way tie for first at 160, a four-way tie for second at 161 and a two-way tie for third at 163. Joan Hinkey, from Sun City North Womens League took first place in the third round with a score of 71, three round total of 232.

Second place was Pam Bonsack, SC North, at 239; third place was Colleen Davis, SC South, at 240; and a tie for fourth by Pat Bilquist, SC Lakes West, and Donna Peterson, SC South, with a score of 241.
