Living in Sun City is about more than just fun in the sun.
From swimming pools to golf courses, lending a helping hand to a neighbor or serving the community at large, living in Sun City offers more than just a place to call home — it offers a lifestyle unlike anywhere else.
All new and existing Sun City residents are invited to “Discover Sun City AZ” at this year’s orientation Wednesday, Jan. 15 in the auditorium at Sundial Recreation Center, 14801 N. 103rd Ave. There are two sessions scheduled for residents’ convenience — 9-11 a.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Clubs, groups and organizations from throughout the Sun City community will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about what they do and the services they offer to residents.
Discover Sun City AZ is what used to be known as RCSC’s New Member Orientation. All RCSC departments, most chartered clubs and many community organizations have tables with information. There is a brief presentation but it is about Sun City AZ as a whole, recreational opportunities and other opportunities.
The RCSC annual membership meeting, a separate event, is scheduled 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24 at Sundial.
Editor’s Note: Ms. Higgins is RCSC communications and marketing coordinator.
