Lions Club donates to nonprofit that serves the blind
Posted
The Lions Club recently donated to a nonprofit that serves the blind.
Members of the Sun City Midweek Lions Club presented a $500 donation to Pat Centner, development director at Recorded Recreational Reading for the Blind.
Lions Clubs are internationally recognized for their charitable work with the blind. RRRB reads and records local news and information on digitized cartridges that are provided free of charge to the visually impaired in the West Valley.
The nonprofit serving the blind, now in its 51st year, relies entirely on donations, grants, and the recording of books for local authors as its source of income.
RRRB is located at 9447 N. 99th Ave., Peoria. For more information, call 623-933-0985.
