Z’Tejas announced that it will begin closing its two Valley restaurants on Mondays starting July 3.
Company officials said the move was made after evaluating customer feedback and analyzing dining trends in the industry. The company has locations in Chandler and Scottsdale.
This change will allow the restaurant to allocate additional resources towards staff training, refining its menu offerings, and executing innovative culinary concepts that align with its commitment to culinary excellence, officials said.
“This strategic decision allows us to dedicate more time and attention to enhancing the quality of our food, improving service standards, and ensuring that every visit to Z’Tejas exceeds our customers’ expectations,” said Robby Nethercut, chief operating officer of Z’Tejas, in a statement. “ We also made a conscious choice to forgo any revenue on Mondays in favor of allowing the team more time off, improving their quality of life. We believe that a happy, well-rested team can deliver superior service, ultimately translating to an elevated dining experience for our guests.”
Z’Tejas will continue to operate with its regular business hours from Tuesday through Sunday. The closure on Mondays will not affect any pre-scheduled private events or catering services, as the restaurant will make accommodations to accommodate such occasions.
The Valley’s restaurant industry has been hit by staffing crunches in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many restaurants have adjust hours of operation to accommodate their staffing.
