A crash Saturday night on Loop 202 in Tempe killed a woman whose vehicle was disabled and stuck in a travel lane, authorities said.

The collision occurred about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 2 on the freeway near Scottsdale Road, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

A vehicle had been involved in a minor hit-and-run collision and was stuck in a travel lane. It was struck from behind.

The driver of the car that hit the stopped vehicle suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

The woman driver of the other car was taken to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital and died from her injuries, officials said, adding impairment is not suspected.
