Phoenix and the surrounding area has been selected to thank and welcome home our Vietnam War-era veterans who served during the period of Nov. 1, 1955 to May 15, 1975, according to the U.S. Department of Defense – USA Vietnam War Commemoration.
This celebration will be held at Mountain View Cemetery 7900 E. Main St. in Mesa, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25.
This will be an event that veterans of all ages and their families will never forget.
It will be 50 years since the U.S. pulled out of Vietnam. We are truly honored to be able to organize such a memorable ceremony,
Some of the items scheduled for this celebration include:
- Speakers from the U.S. Department of Defense.
- Veterans Heritage Project students.
- Navy JROTC Color Guard.
- Sixth grade Patterson Elementary Students.
- U.S. Army Field Band (Six-String Soldiers).
- Pinning ceremony with the U.S. Department of Defense, USA Vietnam War Commemoration.
- 100 Informational booths for veterans.
- Free haircuts for veterans.
- Military equipment.
- Wreaths Across America educational trailer
- Native American and Mexican folk dance troupes,
- Bands, food trucks and much more.
We hope that you will join us on Saturday, March 25, to honor and properly welcome home our Vietnam veterans. Please bring your own chair if you would like to be able to sit and enjoy the entertainment.
We are also looking for sponsors to help with the expenses of this event. All sponsors will be recognized for their sponsorship in the event in the advertising and at the event itself.
We are also inviting informational, educational and companies that work with veterans who would like to host an informational booth.
