Century Grand, a Phoenix cocktail destination, made its way to this year’s North America’s 50 Best Bars list, taking spot #36.
The bar opened in 2019 by Barter & Shake Cocktail Entertainment.
"Century Grand has always been dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences, and being acknowledged among the world's elite bars affirms our team's passion and commitment," Jason Asher, Barter & Shake Cocktail Entertainment owner/operator, shared in a press release.
Century Grand, located at 3626 E. Indian School Road, in Phoenix, offers an immersive experience through three distinct cocktail bars, including Grey Hen Rx and Platform 18 – the two concepts honored on this list.
Platform 18, drawing inspiration from 1924 New York City, invites guests on a journey aboard a Presidential Pullman-inspired train car for a 90-minute immersive experience. In contrast, Grey Hen Rx honors New Orleans' storied past, delivering an elevated cocktail experience in a reimagined apothecary setting.
Last year, Century Grand ranked 48th on the list.
The list, composed of bars from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean, is voted on by a panel of 260 industry experts, including bartenders, bar owners, well-traveled cocktail connoisseurs, and drinks media from the aforementioned countries.
Century Grand also secured the title of “Best U.S. Cocktail Bar” at the 2023 Tales Spirited Awards, held during the 21st annual Tales of the Cocktail conference.
Reservations at Century Grand are highly recommended and must be made using the online reservation system at centurygrandphx.com.
