An investigation is underway after two vehicles collided early Saturday in north Phoenix.

The crash occurred about 2 a.m. Sept. 9 near Tatum and Shea boulevard, police said.

Officers arrived to find a man in a ride-share vehicle with critical injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he died, police said, adding the driver sustained minor injuries.

The other vehicle involved was driven by a woman and had three passengers. One of the adult passengers sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and the other two suffered minor injuries, police said in a release.

Preliminary information indicates the car driven by the woman failed to stop for a red light and struck the victim’s vehicle, police said. There were no signs of impairment, police said.
