On the heels of their forthcoming new album, The Head and the Heart will visit Phoenix on their fall tour.
The indie folkers out of Seattle have confirmed a May 9 release date for their sixth studio album, “Aperture,” which also marks their debut for Verve Forecast. Their tour will make a stop downtown at Arizona Financial Theatre on Sept. 30.
The Aperture tour kicks off in May in Detroit and will include stops at Central Park Summerstage in New York City, the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, Summerfest in Milwaukee, and the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival this summer.
Every ticket sold will add $1 to donate to the band’s Rivers and Roads Foundation. The foundation, started by The Head and The Heart, raises money for Seattle-based music programs and initiatives with an emphasis on equitable access to music education, and mental health resources and support for musicians.
Tickets are available at livenation.com.
“Aperture” is the follow-up to 2022’s “Every Shade of Blue,” which spawned hits from its title song and “Virginia (Wind in the Night).”
