A 33-year-old Tempe woman was killed Sunday in a collision along Interstate 10 at Guadalupe Road, authorities said.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said that Katie TerBeest of Tempe was the passenger in the Hyundai sedan that crashed into a state trooper’s vehicle.

The collision occurred about 12:25 a.m. Nov. 13.

A trooper was parked on the freeway at the scene of a car fire when the DPS vehicle was struck by a car traveling east. The vehicle that hit the DPS car, spun into the emergency lane, injuring three people standing near the fire, DPS officials said.

The trooper, the driver of the vehicle that began the string of events and a passenger, along with the pedestrians were taken to area hospitals, authorities said.
