September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Surprise Public Library System joins the American Library Association and libraries nationwide to highlight the valuable resources available with a library card.
From borrowing books, ebooks and audiobooks to participating in programming, learning new skills or attending a book club, city of Surprise libraries are helping residents do more of what they enjoy at no cost.
Signing up for a library card is the first step on the path to enjoying one of the city’s three Surprise libraries: Asante, Hollyhock and Surprise Regional.
To sign up for a library card or to learn about the library’s resources and programs, visit surprisepubliclibrary.gov.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-up Month has been held each September. The ALA and libraries work together in a national effort to ensure every child has a library card.
