Join the Surprise Police Department from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Surprise Police/DEA drug take back event.
Dispose of unused medications safely and anonymously at the event.
Anybody who has medication that's no longer needed, hasn't been used or that has expired, bring them to the Surprise Police Department collection site, located at 14250 W. Statler Plaza.
Prescription and over-the-counter medications can be dropped off for destruction.
Liquid products, such as cough syrup, should remain tightly sealed in the original container. Syringes, sharps and illicit drugs will not be accepted.
According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety and national security threat.
Can’t make the event but still have medications to drop off? Find more information on the city's 24/7 drop off at surpriseaz.gov/MedDropBox.
