Surprise bond questions results released tonight

2 bond questions up for vote in special election

Surprise residents won't have to wait long to find out if either or both of the special election bond questions passes Nov. 7.

The Maricopa County Elections Department plans to post at  results.maricopa.vote the initial unofficial results at 8 p.m. tonight.

Surprise voters are deciding by mail-in vote two bond questions, totaling $100 million for public safety and transportation projects for the growing city.

Either question must have at leat a 50% approval to pass.

Official results won't be released until all votes are convassed, which is not expected until after Nov. 13.

But elections officials plan to release updated daily totals as ballots are counted among those received today.
