Surprise athletes sign national letters of intent for colleges

A host of Dysart Unified School District student-athletes signed college letters of intent on National Signing Day on Nov. 8.

Shadow Ridge High School turned in the most with six signees signaling their intentions to play in college. Girls volleyball player Addison Pohl signed with the University of Houston, while girls soccer player Jessica Bedolla signed to play at the University of Arizona.

Two Stallions softball player are moving on — Jordan Hart to Weber State and J’kai’a (Kai’a) Graves to Phoenix College.

Sand volleyball player Kobie Fowler will be off to the University of Louisiana-Monroe, while boys volleyball Ryan Louis signed with Ball State.

Valley Vista High School saw three athletes sign letters, including girls golfer Nikki Bowen (University of North Dakota) and girls basketball players Emma Dasovich (New Mexico State) and Jocelyn Chavez (Rider University).

Swimmer Ryley Clark was the lone signee from Willow Canyon High School. She signed with Fresno State University.
