The Rotary Club of Sun Lakes has donated $5,800 to the Arizona Veterans Fly Fishing Organization, which helps disabled veterans.
The club obtained the money and won the “Gizmo” award after collecting more donations than other Rotary groups in the Southeast Valley, according to a release.
The ASU Rotaract Rotary Club recently announced its 2022-23 “Gizmo” award winner.
AVFF is a nonprofit “designed to help facilitate the physical and emotional well-being of disabled veterans through fly fishing and related activities,” according to a release.
RCSL and its members have been long-time AVFF supporters, the release stated.
