Stephen Zoltan Santo

Posted
MESA - Stephen Zoltan Santo was born in Rapid City South Dakota March 9, 1954. Born to Mary Marlene Withager and Zoltan Santo. Stephen passed unexpectedly of massive heart failure the morning of Friday August 21, 2015. Stephen always followed the beat of his own drumbeat and was widely known for his unique sense of humor. He abandoned his life long dream of becoming a professional musician when he took on responsibilities after his father's death. Stephen enjoyed a successful career as a steel worker. His legacy lives on in several structures still standing around the valley. Including the window coverings @ Seasons End Mortuary. He always took pride in his workmanship and was highly regarded as a honorable and trustworthy businessman. Stephen truly embodied the old fashioned notion of his word was his bond. Although Stephen never returned to his musical career, he expressed his artistic impulses through metal art. Stephen was a regular attendee of Desert Chapel United Methodist church and faithfully volunteered in several capacities. Stephen is survived by his long time partner, Denise; his mother, Marlene Withaeger; sisters, Maria and Susan. He was blessed with two nephews, a niece and a grand nephew and several loving aunts and uncles. A memorial service to be followed by a reception was held at Desert Chapel United Methodist Church @ 10 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2015. Desert Chapel located 462 N. Palo Verde in Apache Junction. Arrangements handled by At Seasons End Mortuary in Apache Junction. Stephen touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
