The Scottsdale Police Department is the recipient of two grants from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for Fiscal year 2025.
The Speed Awareness Grant is $60,000 and will allow the Scottsdale Police Department to focus education efforts on the dangers of excessive speed and reckless driving.
The Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Grant is $55,000 and will fund education and enforcement efforts related to pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout the city, including the entertainment district.
Ultimately, funding and awarding these grants will help us reach our Department’s goal of proactively decreasing the number of collisions on our roadways and increasing community safety.
