Serious and fatal traffic collisions have consistently remained an area of concern for the department and these grants will assist in addressing these concerns. Focus will be on speed awareness, pedestrian and bicycle safety.

Ultimately, the funding and awarding of these grants will help the department reach its goal to decrease the number of collisions on roadways and increase community safety.
