Scottsdale podcast asserts 'sports save all'
Posted
Sasha Graham, Scottsdale resident and author, has launched her podcast “Sports Will Save Us All” where she invites guests on to share their sports stories.
No matter where you are in the world, you will find people playing, watching and talking about sports, a press release stated. In fact, if ever there were a universal language, there’s a pretty good chance that sports would be it.
But what if there’s even more to it than a common experience? What if the things inherent to winning, losing or even just watching a game hold the keys just about everything?
That’s the premise of a new podcast hosted by Sasha Graham who is convinced that sports will save us all, the release stated.
Available on all of the major platforms and recorded at Scottsdale’s PodPopuli studio, “Sports Will Save Us All” explores the blood, sweat and tears we give to our sports and all of the things sports give us back.
In a warm, engaging and conversational format, Graham and her guests talk about sports, life and the ways they intersect.
Published episodes have featured:
4-time UCLA All-American diver Britt Williams Willard on the twists and turns of her career, including the advice Greg Louganis gave her about overcoming her fear of the platform
Chuck Keels, a stage-four cancer survivor, rode his bike from California to Florida last summer with almost no previous road bike experience. He explains why he did it, what surprised him about the ride, and how it brought attention to his foundation, Living Hope Cancer Foundation in unexpected ways.
Executive director Mary Hadsall and riding instructor Hannah Brisso of Camelot Therapeutic Horsemanship on the extreme sport of horseback riding and why it’s perfect for people with physical disabilities.
Hot air balloon pilot Ray Klein and his mentee Indiana Graham discussing Ray’s 30 years of ballooning experience, a few close calls and Indiana’s wonder at lifting off the ground at all.
66-year-old volleyball standout Bea Graves on coming of age in girls’ sports prior to Title IV, her triumphs in volleyball, how she stays connected to athletes of all ages and her advice for living your very best life.
In coming episodes, Graham will speak to author Dan Levitt, Girls on the Run’s executive director Meagan Kukowski, personal trainer Annie Shelley, pickle ball aficionado Wendy Cracchiolo and bicycle racing champion Christine D’Ercole.
New episodes are published every Tuesday. According to the release, Graham is always looking for great sports stories and can be contacted at SportsWillSaveUsAll@gmail.com.
