Scottsdale drop-off sites to open for Operation Christmas Child

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 209 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 170 countries and territories. This year, Operation Christmas Child will celebrate its 30th year of ministry.

More than 4,500 locations will soon open to collect Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts for the Samaritan’s Purse project and volunteers are preparing to collect shoebox gifts during National Collection Week, Nov. 13-20.
In Scottsdale, locations include Scottsdale Bible Church, 7601 E. Shea Blvd., and Highlands Church, 9050 E. Pinnacle Peak Road.
Scottsdale Bible Church hours and days of drop-off operation are 10 a.m.-noon Monday, Nov. 13; 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14; 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15; 10 a.m.-noon Thursday, Nov. 16; 3:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17; 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 18; 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19; and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20.
Hours and days for Highlands Church are 9-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13; 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14; 9-11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15; 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16; 9-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 17; 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18; 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 19; and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20.
Operation Christmas Child has been collecting and delivering shoebox gifts—filled with school supplies, personal care items and toys—to children worldwide since 1993. In 2023, Operation Christmas Child hopes to collect enough shoeboxes to reach another 11 million children.
