Proposed future northwest Valley tech hub receives public input

Residents get first look at North Peoria Gateway proposal

As part of its plan to position itself as a potential future hub of advanced industries, the city of Peoria has begun the entitlement process for North Peoria Gateway, an area of about 1,600 acres of undeveloped land adjacent to the Vistancia commercial core.

The application, submitted by Arizona State Land Department, requests an annexation of about 460 acres and a rezoning of about 1,600 acres of state trust land located generally at the intersection of Jomax Road and Loop 303.

The majority of the site is within Peoria's jurisdiction, with about 1 square mile within Maricopa County, and the area is currently zoned residential.
