A free two-day conversation on how residents and governments can work together to improve transportation options is coming to Phoenix.

Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) is bringing together varied sectors to spur new, innovative conversation about creative transportation solutions for older adults and people with disabilities across Arizona, according to a press release.

Age Friendly Arizona and MAG, in partnership with the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center and Easter Seals, are hosting the event at MAG's offices in Phoenix, at 302 N. 1st Ave., Suite 300.

The event starts at noon on Monday, Oct. 23 and continues at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24.

Guests can attend in person or online, with registration for in-person limited to the first 75 who register. Organizers invite those who work with older adults and people with disabilities, healthcare, public health, transportation and interested community stakeholders to join.

Attendees will review regional health and human services plans, discussing how transportation can possibly be integrated into each plan, identify current resources, and review possible transportation resource coordination in the future.

Click here to register for the Oct. 23 meeting, and here for the Oct. 24 session.
