Queen Creek Police: Students’ words have power

Parents will have the opportunity to learn about the tremendous power students’ words can have in their schools.

The Queen Creek Police Department will be holding a presentation for parents called “The Power of Words,” starting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 19 at Queen Creek High School, 22149 E. Ocotillo Road.

“The Queen Creek Police Department is partnering with local schools to discuss with students and parents, the power words can have and potential consequences,” according to a post on the Queen Creek Unified School District’s Facebook page.

On a flyer, QCPD has specified that the discussion will be for parents.

Topics athe meeting will include:

  • Types of threats, reporting and outcomes
  • Responsible social media use
  • Role of law enforcement and school administration
