Posted
By Isaac Robertson | Intern at AJUSD
The Apache Junction High School Prospectors (4-8) hosted the Dysart Demons (4-5) on March 30. The Prospectors were looking to bounce back after two consecutive losses, while the Demons were on a three-game winning streak.
Apache Junction managed four hits on the day, two of which came off the bat of Sophomore Ace Ruiz.
Pitcher Jacob Glazener and Cash O’Connor had solid performances. Glazener only gave up one earned run in five innings. While there were only three earned runs on the day from the Demons, two extra runs were tallied via fielding errors.
The highlight of the game came in the top of the seventh as catcher Dalton Bailey picked off a Demon baserunner all the way at second base to end the inning.
