More than 20 riders from the Navajo County Sheriff’s Posse will deliver pen pal letters written by and to school-aged children around the state to Scottsdale Friday, Jan. 31, as the Pony Express comes to town.
The celebration will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, 3830 N. Marshall Way. The celebration will include dancing, live music, historic wagons, rope demonstrations and more.
The morning will be hosted by Scottsdale’s History Hall of Fame inductee, Denny Brown, and Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs will be in attendance to receive a proclamation from the Navajo County Sherriff’s Office and its Posse recognizing her hard work and service to Arizonans.
