Phoenix breakfast gathering to aid HonorHealth Foundation, Desert Mission

Money raised will support Valley community programs

Tickets are on sale now for the 2nd annual Morning of GOLD breakfast.

The fundraising event provides support for Desert Mission while serving a message of hope and inspiration.

For 90 years, HonorHealth’s Desert Mission has been improving the health and wellbeing of individuals from all socioeconomic walks of life in Phoenix through programs that foster self-sufficiency. The nonprofit supports community outreach efforts around the Valley through early childhood education and enrichment, employment and economic success, food access and nutrition support, assistance obtaining safe and affordable housing, and senior enrichment.

The breakfast starts at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort, 2400 E. Missouri Ave.

Guests include James Beard award-winning chef and restaurateur Chris Bianco, and inspirational speaker Park Howell. Both will share how “Food is Medicine” and is the link to nutrition and health.

Individual tickets are $150. Sponsorship and table packages are still available.

Money from the event will benefit HonorHealth Desert Mission programs including the Food Bank, Lincoln Learning Center, Adult Day Healthcare and the Living Well Program.

In 2022, Desert Mission helped to provide more than 16,000 emergency food boxes, more than 8,000 households with food and supplement more than 3,000 federally funded emergency food boxes for low-income seniors.
