Phoenix detectives are investigating a Friday night collision in which a pedestrian was hit by a truck while crossing 32nd Street, police said.

The unidentified man died at a hospital following the crash, which occurred about 6:20 p.m. Oct. 27 near 15800 N. 32nd St., according to a release from the Phoenix Police Department.

The driver of the truck stayed at the scene, and he did not show any signs of impairment, officials said.

Detectives said witnesses told them the victim was crossing 32nd Street outside any marked crosswalks when he was struck by the truck.
