Owner of Surprise body-sculpting business accused of voyeurism

Posted

The owner of a body-sculpting business in Surprise has been arrested and charged with several crimes in connection with surreptitiously photographing and filming female customers, police said.

Timothy Savage, 39, was arrested and charged on April 20 on counts of voyeurism and surreptitious photography and videotaping, according to the Surprise Police Department.

The department was contacted on April 20 with allegations Savage, the owner of Pro Fit Body Sculpting, had taken, or was in possession of, multiple photographs of female clients in various stages of undress, police said.

The photos, according to police, had been taken surreptitiously and without the women’s consent inside the business, which was being operated out of a rented casita next to a home near 151st Avenue and West Woodbridge Drive.

“The victim who reported these crimes described seeing numerous photographs that appear to be taken either while the women were changing in the bathroom of the business or while the women received body-sculpting services administered by Savage,” police said in a release.

Detectives with the department’s criminal investigations division executed search warrants on the business and Savage’s home and seized evidence, police said, adding that information and an interview with Savage led to his arrest.

“This arrest is the result of a thorough investigation by the Surprise Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, which began immediately after the first victim shared the information with us,” Surprise Police Chief Benny Pina said.

“We are deeply appreciative that this brave individual was willing to come forward so we could put a stop to this unlawful and invasive behavior.”

Police said there may be other victims and anyone with additional information should call the tip line at 623-222-8477.
