An 18-year-old man turned himself in to authorities and has been charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault in connection with a shooting Tuesday that killed a 48-year-old man and left a woman hospitalized, Phoenix police said Sunday.

Victor Morales-Jimenez turned himself in to police 9:30 p.m. June 28, police said.

The shooting occurred about 2:20 a.m. June 24 near 5th Street and Beth Drive where officers found Victor Lubvio and a woman suffering from gunshots wounds.

Lubvio died at a hospital, and the woman was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to an earlier release from the Phoenix Police Department.
