The Olney Gallery, 100 W. Roosevelt St. in Phoenix, presents Art Detour 32 with live painting and printmaking demonstrations 6-9 p.m., through March 25.
Offering demonstrations all evening will be Lynn Smith and Marissa Vidrio, according to a press release, describing how they “have a reverence for the physical beauty of the world.”
Ms. Smith’s approach captures the impression of an ever-changing landscape, including such things as a familiar object like a house said to give a false sense of belonging in an impermanent world while Ms. Vidrio’s approach is said to capture a moment in time that provides a visual escape to take in the beauty of the surroundings a majestic landscape.
The Art Detour 32 Landscapes: Two Perspectives artist reception is 6-9 p.m. on March 20, the release noted.
