Motorcyclist dies in west Phoenix crash

Posted

Phoenix police are investigating a three-vehicle collision that occurred about 6 p.m. Oct. 28, leaving a 39-year-old man dead.

The crash happened near 91st Avenue and Holly Street, and police said Juan Barraza died at the scent after being thrown from his motorcycle.

The drivers of the other two vehicles remained on scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to a release.

Preliminary information indicates a vehicle was heading north on 91st Avenue when it made a left turn onto Holly Street in front of the motorcycle, which was heading south on 91st Avenue.

“The motorcycle crashed into the first vehicle which caused Barraza to fall off his bike and was struck by another vehicle which was also heading southbound on 91st Avenue,” police said in the release.
