The outgoing and recently crowned Miss Juneteenth Arizona were recognized at the June 26 Chandler City Council meeting.
The 2023 Miss Juneteenth Arizona, Sascha Reveron, and her outgoing 2022 predecessor, Shaundrea Norman , were recognized, along with Rodney Love of South Chandler Self Help.
Reveron, who is age 15, said she wants to encourage more women of color to engage in the civic process.
