The Central Arizona Flute Ensemble has been awarded a $7,950 grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.

The grant was one of 367 grants totaling more than $4.8 million awarded for fiscal year 2023 to nonprofit arts organizations across the state, according to a release.

”This Creative Capacity Grant will help us fulfill our mission to enrich, enlighten and inspire residents of central Arizona by providing interactive concerts and educational programs that showcase the diverse flute family,” CAFE manager Leslie Etzel said.

The grant will support the seven-member, Mesa-based flute choir’s work over the coming year, including performances and educational programs at libraries, senior communities, art galleries, churches, museums, music festivals and concert halls, the release stated.
