Mental Health Center of America, which provides mental health services, is opening a clinic in Mesa that will be the second location in the Valley.
The new location at 1745 S. Alma School Road Suite No. 145 will serve individuals of all ages and treatment needs, according to a release.
The 7,500-square-foot clinic will open to patients on June 12, though appointments can be scheduled now by calling 602-704-2345 or scheduling at mentalhealthcenter.com/appointment. MHCA Mesa includes 11 patient rooms, two neurofeedback areas, a wellness center which includes a private heat therapy room (infrared sauna), a private red light room and patient kitchen and more.
MHCA is dedicated to providing effective therapies with customized treatment plans for individuals, first-responders, couples, families, professionals and caregivers struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma and more. In addition, MHCA strives to make mental health care affordable and, while MHCA works with dozens of insurers, its services are designed to be affordable with or without insurance, the release states.
The first Valley site is in Phoenix at 7600 N. 15th St. Suite No. 100.
“We are excited to expand our mental health services to the Mesa community in a time of desperate need,” Dr. Soffia Palsdottir, chief psychologist at Mental Health Center of America, said in the release. “Our team of highly skilled and compassionate professionals is committed to helping patients overcome mental health challenges and improve their overall quality of life. With our new clinic, we can reach more individuals and provide them with the care they need to thrive.”
The clinic offers a range of evidence-based treatments, including psychiatric services, medication management, neurofeedback, wellness, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, counseling, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.
MHCA is known for its specialized treatment for first-responders who often face unique mental health challenges due to the nature of their work. The clinic’s professionals have extensive experience working with first-responders and understand the stressors and trauma they face on a daily basis. MHCA offers specialized programs designed to meet the unique needs of this group to help them overcome mental health challenges, the release states.
