MCSO connects with a Sun City West organization

An organization in Sun City West coordinated with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office to share information on fraud.

Connections, a Sun City West Women’s Friendship Organization, invited MCSO as part of community outreach. Gerry Zopf, Connections, connected with Johnathan Sanchez and Michael Redman, who work in the Community Outreach Department for MCSO.

The organization learned about the latest fraud trends criminals are using.

“The presentation was very informative and well presented. They concluded a list of places to get help if you think you have been a victim of fraud,” Zopf said.

In addition, MCSO officials suggested individuals check bank accounts often and immediately contact the bank if there are any fraudulent charges.
