In Loving Memory
Maureen Catherine Luebke, a beloved wife, daughter, mother, sister to 10 siblings, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025, at the age of 70. She lived a life full of adventure, kindness, and an undeniable competitive spirit that made her truly one of a kind.
Born with a love for learning, Maureen earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. However, her adventurous heart led her to the skies, where she traveled to over 30 countries as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines, embracing cultures and experiences that shaped her warm and worldly outlook on life.
Her love for the game of golf led her to work in golf operations at both Pinehurst and Pine Needles in North Carolina, where she made lifelong friends and shared her passion for the sport. In her later years, she continued her work in golf operations at Sun City Grand, staying active in the community she cherished.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Maureen was a devoted wife to her husband, Thomas, and a loving mother to her two sons, John and Tommy. She brought joy and laughter into their lives with her sharp wit, generous heart, and unwavering support.
Her passions extended to her garden, where she cultivated beauty with the same care, she showed to those around her. She also found joy in playing cards, especially bridge at the Sun City West Women’s Bridge Club, where her competitive nature shined through.
Maureen will be remembered for her humor, kindness, and zest for life. She touched the hearts of many, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Maureen made the selfless decision to donate her body to science via Midwest University, Glendale, Arizona.
She will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
