Maricopa County overcomes ballot email glitch

Posted

The Maricopa County Elections Department reported a minor email glitch Monday that affect a small number of county voters.

Elections Department spokesperson Megan Gilbertson said fewer than3,000 voters received a ballot status email message in error.

“We’re informing those voters to disregard the message,” she said.

One voter told the Daily Independent that after receiving an email more than a week ago, confirming receipt of a completed ballot, an email was sent Monday to let the voter know a ballot had been mailed to them again.

Gilbertson said Maricopa County voters can find current ballot status updates by using the online dashboard found at BeBallotReady.Vote. The dashboard includes voting locations, sample ballots, ballot status, general security election information and more.
