Six businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic will receive $10,000 grants from the city of Litchfield Park this month, bringing the total amount awarded under its Business Assistance Program to $160,000.
In August, the council authorized staff to establish the program with $180,000 in general fund money freed up when the city received federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act funding. In December, the council awarded $100,000 in grants to nine businesses and two nonprofits.
