Kissko: Fountain Hills is a great place for young families

Posted

In response to a recent opinion depicting Fountain Hills as unsuitable for young families, I offer a contrasting perspective. As a resident since 2021, with a young child and twins on the way, my experience has been positive, highlighting Fountain Hills as a vibrant, family-friendly community.

The housing market is challenging everywhere. It’s crucial to recognize that Fountain Hills offers more than just real estate; it provides a quality of life that is hard to match. The breathtaking views, the proximity to nature and the safe, welcoming community atmosphere are invaluable assets that continue to draw young families here.

Regarding the local school district, the bond issue defeat reflects concerns that need to be addressed. Keep in mind, though, that over four out of every 10 voters supported the bond, showing a readiness to improve our schools. These voters represent a group that young families can ally with for positive change.

Fountain Hills is rich in family events like the Thanksgiving Day Parade, fostering community and connection. These events are not just social gatherings, they are opportunities for families to connect, for children to play and learn, and for a community to grow stronger together.

As a growing family, we've found Fountain Hills to be exceptionally welcoming. There are numerous opportunities to connect with other families, essential for a thriving community. The notion of finding one's community is crucial in any town or city, and here, the connections are the bedrock of a supportive and thriving community.

Fountain Hills is a great place for young families, offering natural beauty, a supportive community and potential for growth. Let's unite to address our challenges and enhance our town for everyone.
