Apparently some people in this community believe seeking “justice” for taking the life of another (referring to fatal hit-and-run of July 28, 2023) should be dismissed due to advanced age of the offender.
I say to you take a look at Lady Justice, honored as “clear sighted.” She holds scales representing “impartiality” of the courts decisions, also blindfolded indicating “unbiased.”
We do not want to lose any of this in such crucial decisions. Doing so will erase the victims and lead to lawlessness.
There are different forms of justice depending on the crime committed, and I am definitely hoping the justice system will decide on an appropriate and acceptable form of justice for victim Mr. Deshazo and his family.
