Glover-Toscano scores 22 points as Saint Joseph’s defeats Longwood 82-73

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jaiden Glover-Toscano scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half to lead Saint Joseph's to an 82-73 victory over Longwood on Wednesday.

Glover-Toscano added seven rebounds for the Hawks (1-0). Khaafiq Myers scored 17 points and added six rebounds. BJ Ranson had 17 points and shot 6 for 13, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc.

Alphonzo Billups III led the way for the Lancers (1-1) with 17 points. Longwood got 14 points from M.J. Williams. Jaylen Benard finished with 13 points, 10 rebounds and two steals.

Saint Joseph’s took the lead with 9:41 remaining in the first half and did not trail again. Ranson led the Hawks with eight points in the first half to help put them ahead 40-28 at the break.
