After a second-chance layup by Tajae Jones gave the Seahawks their only lead at 10-8 in the opening four minutes, the Hurricanes responded with a 22-4 run.
Gaskins, Brent Bland and Nick Dorn hit 3-pointers to key the surge. Dante Allen’s layup with 4:35 capped the spurt and put Miami ahead 30-14.
Miami expanded its 34-21 lead at the break with a 12-2 surge to start the second half. Henderson had consecutive fast-break dunks to cap the surge and stretch the lead to 46-23. He scored 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field after halftime.
Gaskins’ dunk with 4:46 remaining gave the Hurricanes their largest lead at 75-44.
Jones had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Seahawks (0-2), who feature an entirely new roster under first-year coach Dwan McMillan.
