Glencroft Center for Modern Aging is starting to share its COVID-19 case numbers and deaths on its website.

As of Monday, the center says there are 58 active cases on campus. Of the 126 total positives, 51 have recovered and 17 have died. These numbers include staff and residents. There are 839 residents and 528 employees on campus.

Glencroft will provide updated numbers of those and other figures by the next business day. Glencroft firsts notifies families of residents, who might temporarily see slightly different numbers, according to the website.

The Arizona Department of Health Services and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health have refused to release the names of long-term care facilities that have positive cases and/or deaths, citing health and privacy laws.

However, those facilities are required to inform residents and staff if the facility has cases of COVID-19. In additions, residents’ next of kin should also be informed, as well as anyone looking to move into the facility.

The federal government is expected to start listing the names only of nursing homes where COVID-19 has hit. That is because they fall under purview of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

According to MCDPH, there are 174 long-term care facilities in Maricopa County that have had at least one resident or staff with COVID-19 as of Tuesday morning. There are 1,145 cases among residents in those facilities, with 249 hospitalizations and 231 deaths. Staff numbers are 563 cases, 30 hospitalizations and two deaths.
