Peoria police are investigating a crash that killed a Glendale man and injured four others late Saturday night.
The collision occurred about 11:50 p.m. Nov. 11 on 67th Avenue south of Happy Valley Road and involved a 2007 Toyota 4-Runner and a 2004 Honda CRV, police said.
Preliminary information indicates the driver of the 4-Runner was traveling southbound on 67th Avenue. The CRV was heading northbound on 67th Avenue when 4-Runner crossed over the center-lane lines and caused the head-on collision, according to a release from the Peoria Police Department.
The driver of the 4-Runner, 58-year-old Manh Thach of Glendale, sustained significant injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died, officials said.
The driver of the Honda sustained serious injuries and was taken to a hospital, police said, adding there were three passengers from the Honda who were transported to a hospital with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation but was open for normal traffic at approximately 4:35 a.m., officials said.
No arrests have been made, and no citations have been issued as the investigation continues
