Glendale house fire a reminder to throw out Christmas trees

Posted

Three people were displaced following a house fire Thursday near 43rd and Peoria avenues.

Glendale Fire said the occupants believed their Christmas tree caught fire, prompting the agency to remind people that a dry tree can be very dangerous and to not turn on the lights if the tree is dry. Residents are encouraged to dispose of their trees if they are dried out.

Dry danger

Glendale fire teamed up with Tempe fire for a video to explain the fire danger a dry Christmas tree brings to a home.
