Abrazo Arrowhead Campus welcomed some of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ newest fans on Wednesday in the hospital’s Maternity Unit.
The labor and delivery team provided newborns with Diamondbacks onesies in celebration of the team’s Tuesday night clinching of the National League pennant and berth in the World Series, which starts Friday night in Texas.
Parents and babies are doing well, the Glendale hospital says, and are rooting for the Diamondbacks to win the World Series.
A popular destination for maternity care, more than 3,500 babies, including high order multiple births like triplets, are born every year at Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, located at 18701 N. 67th Ave.
The hospital plans to open a new $14 million expansion of its neonatal unit next month, adding new rooms and perinatal care areas.
